Useful expressions to describe a picture

 
Here is an example:


  
What can you see in the picture? I see a family spending time together in the morning. I see birds singing in the tree, and the cat climbing the tree. In the background, I see the trees are green and there are two houses behind the trees. I think it’s spring because in the foreground there are some flowers.
Where are they? They are in the garden
How many people are there? There are nine people
Is this a family? Yes, it is
What is Paul doing? He is watering the plants
 What is Mrs. Green doing? She is listening to the radio
 What are the girls doing? They are playing with their dolls.
 Is the grandfather reading? No, he isn't. He is sleeping.
 What does Paul look like? He is tall and thin He has short, blonde hair and black eyes.
What is Simon wearing? He is  wearing a red sweater, white trousers and yellow shoes.
 Where are the ducks? They are in the pond.
Where are the birds? They are on the tree.
What's the weather like? I think it's sunny and warm
